Getting Started

Eligibility

You must be over the age of 18 to use Chill. The Company does not permit those under 18 to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

How do I create an account?

Open Chill and tap "Create Account" on the welcome screen. You can sign up with Apple or use your email address. Complete your profile with a photo and bio to get started. By using the Service, you agree to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

How do I find ski partners?

Browse the Skiing Circle feed to discover other skiers, check the Activities tab for upcoming group ski events, or use the "Say Hi" feature in Messages to connect with new users.

How do I create or join a ski activity?

Go to the Activities tab and tap the create button to set up a new event with title, dates, location, and participant limit. To join an existing activity, open its detail page and tap Join. You participate in real-world meetups at your own risk.

Account & Data

How do I update my personal information?

You may update, amend, or delete your information at any time by signing in to your Account and visiting the account settings section. You may also contact us at sayloner@icloud.com to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information you have provided.

How do I delete my account?

Navigate to Settings โ†’ Delete Account and follow the confirmation steps. This permanently removes your profile, posts, and associated data. Please note that we may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.

How do I manage privacy settings?

Go to Settings โ†’ Privacy Settings to control: show profile to everyone, allow messages from followers, and hide activity history. You can enable or disable photo library access through your Device settings at any time.

How do I manage notifications?

Go to Settings โ†’ Notification Settings to control alerts for new followers, post likes, activity reminders, and chat messages. You can also manage iOS notification permissions from the same screen.

Purchases & Virtual Currency

How do Gems work?

Gems are virtual currency used within Chill. Purchase Gem packs through the in-app Coin Shop via the Apple App Store. All purchases are processed securely by Apple. Gems have no cash value and are non-transferable.

What is your refund policy?

Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment and refund terms. If you have a purchase issue, contact us at sayloner@icloud.com with your transaction details. Our liability is limited to the amount actually paid through the Service or 100 USD, as described in our Terms and Conditions.

Safety & Community

What is the AI Ski Assistant?

The AI assistant provides general skiing information, equipment tips, and resort suggestions. It is for entertainment and general guidance only โ€” not professional instruction, safety advice, or emergency guidance.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Tap the report option on any post, activity, or user profile. Select a reason (spam, harassment, inappropriate content, misinformation, or other) and submit. Our team reviews all reports. We may terminate or suspend access immediately for violations.

How do I block a user?

Visit the user's profile and use the block option. Blocked users won't be able to message you or interact with your content. Manage your block list in Settings โ†’ Block List.

Is Chill safe for offline meetups?

Chill helps you discover partners and activities, but does not organize, supervise, or guarantee the safety of offline events. Always meet in public areas, follow resort rules, and exercise personal judgment for your safety.

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for their content, privacy policies, or practices. We strongly advise you to read their terms and privacy policies.

Dispute Resolution

How do I resolve a dispute?

If you have any concern or dispute about the Service, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at sayloner@icloud.com. These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, United States.

European Union (EU) Users

If you are a European Union consumer, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident.

United States Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to the United States government embargo, or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
